Psalm 144 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion. I pray that your power and spirit shall journey with me into the new year. Lord, I pray that your presence shall go with me into the new year. I pray that your mercy shall keep everyone alive to witness the new year in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, as we are preparing for the new year, I pray that you shall uphold every member of my family in the name of Jesus Christ.

I ask that you shall protect every one of us in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, I pray for my friends and family in this month of December. Lord, I pray that your eyes shall be upon me in the name of Jesus Christ. For it has been written, the eyes of the Lord are always upon the righteous and His ears are always attentive to their prayers. Lord, I pray that your protection shall be upon me in the name of Jesus Christ. I decree by the authority of heaven, I shall not be troubled in the name of Jesus Christ. For the scripture says I bear the mark of Christ, let no man trouble me. Lord, as I journey through this month, I pray that your hands shall be upon me. Every blessing and favor that has been taken away from me through sin, I decree by the mercy of the Lord they are released to me in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray for the accumulation of everything that I have lost. 
Lord, I pray that you shall bless my life with speed and direction in this month. Lord, all your promises for my life in this year that are yet to manifest, I pray that by your power, you will release them to me in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, I pray that by your mercy, I receive speedy delivery of every blessing attached to this month in the name of Jesus Christ. It is by your mercy that we are not consumed, Lord, may your name be highly exalted in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank you for your protection over my children. Keith and I are overwhelmed with the response this song has had, and we are just grateful to God that He should use it to build up His church in this way.K INDLY WATCH EVERYDAYPRAYERGUIDE TV ON YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBE NOW I wanted to write a fourth verse that was about us – but not just as an emotional response, but as a undeniable statement of the power of Christ to sustain us in this life. The verses came in a fairly linear way, but as the third verse developed, I was getting pretty excited as I thought about the amazing implications of Christ’s finished work on the cross. The only thing I could think was to base it on the eternal theme of the life, death and resurrection of Christ.
And I began to feel the pressure to write lyrics that were of a comparable standard! And the first melody on it really hit me – it was tuneful and memorable, and yet had gravitas and real emotion. Keith promised he would send me a CD with a bunch of melodies he’d been working on, and to be honest I thought no more about it. We had been introduced by a mutual friend at a worship conference, where we had a coffee together and talked about our backgrounds, musical influences, and motivations to write.
